This week, Colleen challenges us with the words Game and Trouble. Remember, synonyms only to write your poetry!!
Written as a Reverse Etheree, my synonyms are Weak and Struggle.
Why do people assume they understand?
It is hard for me to comprehend
To struggle, with an unkind life
Yet, it does not make me weak
Nor will I claim defeat
I look solely for
Empathy, warmth
In, sometimes
A cruel
World

This poem is one I hope many people get to read – unseen illnesses are something I, as an able person, been grateful to learn and hear about from others. Stuff like this expands minds!

Then you have an open heart! Most do not care about the unseen, therefore, do not understand it at all. Thank you!! ❤

Wow!! Such power and pathos in your words. It’s the: “walk a mile in my shoes,” as everyone is fighting a battle of some sort. If they say they aren’t they are living in their own reality. Strength, love, and healing on the wing to you! ❤

Thank you so much, Colleen. It’s hard, sometimes, to make people understand that just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist! ❤

I know. We all have burdens… why can’t people just be kind and show compassion for their fellow humans? ❤

Such a bold and beautiful poem. It’s sad in a very good way. People talking behind you is just so sad.

This one made me cry, in a good way. I do understand as well as anyone can – multiple chronic illnesses – and thing the way you express your own pain, frustration, and hope for empathy is beautiful. Thank you for being a voice, I know it’s not easy.

Thank you so much! I’m sorry you can relate to this, it’s such a difficult thing for us. I try to bring out the good, with the bad, some days the bad wins. but I’m always hopeful for tomorrow! ❤

me too … I try to bring out the good, but other truths needs a voice too. We are only human. I always say hope is somewhere in the margins, even if sometimes it’s the fact we are able to write about it. Wishing you many better days. Take care.

I know, I’m not used to a long cold or close to freezing – only 3 degree from freezing!
I have carpal tunnel problem after formatting my book last October. Just went to my orthopedic doc. He said I strained the tendon, so ordered occupational therapy. At least I don’t need surgery. Thank God for that!
