Most of us do things from our phones these days. But what do you do when your phone won’t cooperate? Here’s my dilemma. I get a lot of emails from the bloggers I follow on WordPress. I have a Yahoo account they go to. At certain times during the day, every email that comes through doesn’t allow to like or comment on a blog post. It tells me I need to log in (which I am) and when I try again, it still won’t let me do anything. Is it Yahoo or WordPress causing this?
The posts I get at 2AM, which are all the digests, I have no trouble with, unless I try to open them at 10AM. Then, you guessed it. It says I’m not following the blogger and I need to log in.
Does anyone else have this trouble? I don’t always have time during the day to read blogs, so if I’m sitting in a doctor’s office, or worse yet, the inspection station line, I want to be able to do my blogging!! Now, you’re probably thinking, why doesn’t she just use the reader? Because not all of you show up in it!!! It’s terrible. Reminds of Facebook. You see the same 5 or 6 bloggers and the rest are lost in word land.
So…any ideas, tips, rescues, anything at all?? I’m really getting annoyed about this whole mess. I just want to be able to read everyone’s blogs!!

Tip: Write more, read less, lol I gave up on emails a year ago and just use the reader now. I try to read and comment on all I can, but we all know that is a physical impossibility. No point i stressing over it. Everybody has the same problem.

It’s just frustrating. The reader doesn’t always have the people I follow, and I don’t have the time to search. I just wish they’d fix it. I can view some but not all, from email. Ugh!

I use Google… it is frustrating. I leave my email and search in reader for what I had been wanting to read.

Too time consuming. I wish they’d fix it. I’m going with a WP issue. Hope they fix it!

I have an iPhone 7. It’s not the phone. I have no trouble with anything else.

Hi Dorinda. I know what you mean. If you don’t refresh the feeds every hour or so the other posts will not appear. So what I actually do since I can only read twice a day most of the time, I uninstall and install wordpress app every time I read it. This way, all the posts usually 12 hours interval comes up on the feeds. Do try and let me know if it works for you.

Thanks, Graci. I find it easier to read from my email, and check the reader for some I may have missed. I have the app installed, but rarely use it. Even on the PC, the reader doesn’t refresh. I wish they’d fix it!!

I think it’s Yahoo…
I use gmail, and have no problem following, liking, and commenting from it.
I previously used Yahoo, and had similar problems.

I’ve never had a problem with Yahoo in the five years I’ve used it for my blog. I think it’s WP 😉

I have the same problem when I try to use my phone. I figure it’s just like me – sometimes it works well and other times it doesn’t.

Oh my, V.J., you’re too much!! LOL I see many of us are having this problem, so I’m going with WP being the culprit. Shame on them!

Download the WordPress app and read/blog through that. I never have to log in or deal with email. There will be glitches I think because of time zones. You may suddenly see a gap of several hours between posts, but I think it eventually smooths out. If not, there’s a search function where you can search for your favorite bloggers to ensure you caught their latest.

Hi Paula, I have the app, don’t care for it. I find it easier to read from my email. I don’t have a lot of time, so finding it all where I need it to be is just easier for me. 🙂

I wish I could offer some advice, but I have no idea why that would be happening. Very strange.
