The sound of the rain against the window pane, like a constant knocking. Loved ones from above, trying to come in. Let me open the window…
I’m awake at this ungodly hour and it is raining. Usually it lulls me to sleep, but not tonight. Too much on my mind, so I will just lie here and listen. Join me, won’t you?

It’s also when I wake Susan up to get ready for work. She has to leave at 4 to start work at 5 😢

Yikes! Hubby gets up at 4 for work. I can’t even imagine…

She works W-Sun, 5-1:30, or 5:30-2. She goes to bed between 7 and 8. I’m usually awake to wake her and then sometimes sleep for a couple hours when she leaves.
