As rain falls from a dark sky
Releasing its pain
Til light of day emerges
With colors of a rainbow
Authors Note: This was my first attempt at a Tanka. I’m not sure if I got it right!! All comments, help, etc, are greatly appreciated!

I’m a stickler when it comes to certain forms of poetry. Some things really irk me 😦

I’m not a fan of complicated words, line after line of using words I have to look up. I like poetry that shows a poet’s heart, not how big his vocabulary may be.

I’m not talking about vocabulary, just certain poetry deserves to be written properly. I don’t use big words, either lol
