Leaving, for ports unknown, he said
She felt that pang, a silent dread
No longer anchored, her feelings, kept
She watched, then turned and quietly wept
Bracelets around her wrist, a reminder
No matter what, he’d always find her
For she was his reason to come back alive
The only thing he needed, to survive
The long journey’s, carried over the seas
Knowing she’d be waiting, his beautiful Elouise
May Writing Prompt: Anchored avenues – Day 31/31 – Hard to believe another month has flown by. Many thanks to Michelle for keeping us motivated! Bring on June! ❤
