Sue has graced us with another fabulous photo! The subject this week is “Dark“.
Twilight begins, as clouds fill with the last light of day, shining through darkening skies. Crepuscular rays gleam, casting shadows on the colorless mountains below. I blink, hoping to find the colors I remembered just moments ago, only to find gray. It’s that gray that dims everything it touches. But I look beyond the dull and dreary, and my soul sighs, contented. I have found that glimmer of light, shining down on me, no longer kept hidden in the dark.

Crepuscular rays (more commonly known as sunbeams, sun rays, or god rays), in atmospheric optics, are rays of sunlight that appear to radiate from the point in the sky where the sun is located. This has been your atmospheric lesson of the day LOL
