I wonder what it’s all about
Do these verses I write even matter
Or should I continue to toss them out
Into the world I’ve enveloped
In the place I have chosen for them
Nearest, to my heart and soul
Where they cause the most mayhem
These thoughts are certainly not menial
There is drudgery, elsewhere, to be found
So I shall continue to wear these chains
To my poetry, I am endlessly bound
