There was a child, who kept to himself

Toys in the attic, no room for a shelf

Rocking horse, teddy, guitars and cars

But there was just once place

He’d reach, for the stars

Watching through windows, moon glowing bright

Imagination, his playmate, who stayed through the night

Knowing one day, he would venture from this place

To paint his name among the stars

In ethereal outer space
