Half the year is quickly gone

We wonder how, the time moves on

We blink, and miss our children grow

Then sigh, as if we didn’t know

That we could waste the time of day

And watch them slowly drift away

Or maybe it was, to our relief

Seeing them strong, beyond belief

We raised them, to be fine young beings

Yet, still the our lives are ever fleeing

And we grew older, this we cannot deny

We must admit that we, let time slip by
