We wonder how, the time moves on
We blink, and miss our children grow
Then sigh, as if we didn’t know
That we could waste the time of day
And watch them slowly drift away
Or maybe it was, to our relief
Seeing them strong, beyond belief
We raised them, to be fine young beings
Yet, still the our lives are ever fleeing
And we grew older, this we cannot deny
We must admit that we, let time slip by

I think a lot about time lately. How it can be our friend or enemy and how unpredictable it is. You think it stands still only to show you with a mischievous smile that it catches up even more after.

Lovely, heartfelt poem Dorinda. My youngest son is leaving school in December and can’t wait to go out into the world. I am more nervous about it than he is!
