Lingering in the corners
Like balls of dust
Memories
Clinging, unwilling to let go
For fear they’ll get sucked
Into a vacuous world
And so, they remain
As shadows, lurking about
The reminders, hanging,
Strangling at times, until
You finally release them
And let them fly, pieces
Dispersed into air, parts of
You, filtered, floating,
Particles
Easily passed through
Painfully left behind,
Long since forgotten

interesting take, once again, Erika, yet I was voicing the fact that nothing has changed….we are always just dust in the wind (thank you Kansas lol)

I was just captured by that line and then looked at the picture and I remembered myself when observing this and feeling like in a break of time but then again not. It just took me into that direction… lol!
