Swirling, like a tornado, grow
Hands that grip, the fear in me
Are now a part of this old tree
I hold on tight, my fingers dig
This vortex snaps me like a twig
Spinning out of my control
Stuck here, on this magnetic pole
Afraid to lose my grip, and so
I stay here, never letting go

Thank you very much! Sometimes I think I spend more time looking for the right picture to accompany the poem, then I do writing lol

Me too lol I’ve spent hours looking for the right images. Sometimes I find exactly what I’m looking for, and sometimes I find as close I can to the images I want. I love the process and the challenge. 🙂

Wow! Holding on to something we don’t want anymore. Amazing how well you conveyed that!

I love your takes on my poetry. You always add another perspective, which is awesome. I was speaking of madness in this one, never being able to let go, once it has its hold.

That is really, really interesting. I read it three times before I commented. That shows how much you say and still leave open to the reader in order to look at it and feel about it from their perspective. Awesome, indeed!!!

Amazing words, Dorinda. I get a feeling for the need of a savior.

Thank you very much! Perhaps, can a savior cure the madness?
