Update: While it was easy to blame WP, it wasn’t them at all. turns out my email server (Yahoo) decided to label the donotreply email from WP as spam. I added it to my contacts and all is well in WP land 🙂
Hi Everyone,
For some reason, WordPress has decided to stop sending notifications of comments and new followers, to my email. It’s like playing a guessing game when I log into my account. I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue, too. I’ve tried tweeting about it, but to no avail. So, I apologize if it takes me a bit to respond and to follow. I love reading posts and finding out about new followers (I always follow back), so I’m hoping this mess is cleaned up quickly. I haven’t changed any settings, so not sure why this happened.

I did not have such issues but enough others. It is so annoying that things which worked all of a sudden don’t work anymore! Hope all is back to normal soon!

It wasn’t WP, it was Yahoo. They were throwing everything into spam. All solved 🙂

Problem solved. Turns out it was Yahoo, not WP. I’ve corrected the issue. 🙂

I’ve been having probs with my aumtumnambles blog…..don’t see any comments on posts on that blog…Have been in touch with ‘Help’…..Sad to say, still awaiting response….Four weeks now…… 😦 Hugs! ❤

Did you use the chat function on the bottom of your blog? They answer right away. Are you seeing the comments if you go to your dashboard? Check your email spam folder. That’s where mine were.

On my main account I only get notifications of likes and comments. I gave up trying on that a while ago. My second blog, I get them for everything. Go figure.

Check your spam folder. That’s where all my emails were going!!

It was odd, my firdt theme was horrible and it took me hours to find a decent one that I liked the general look. I did not know about adding certain things to customize and I came up with this one. Not knowing this, it was retired a month after I got it. One drawback if I switch is that I have a built in admin button on my home screen and others you have to be logged in and then open an external page to get there. Like you said they taunt us. It is hard to find all of the needed information except trial and error.

Hi Tammi, it was an easy fix. It was my email host, not WP. They threw it all into spam, so I had to add them to my contacts. Thank goodness that’s all it was.

I had a similar problem once and contacted the WP Help Desk who solved it pretty quickly. Try them. I hope they can help you, too.

Yahoo was sending everything to spam. I hope I was able to fix the problem!!

I had that happen, too. The people at WP helped to fix it by doing something with my settings.

I had that problem a while back. They told me in your stats to follow and unfollow everyone. Seriously. I don’t know if it is still happening as I am like you I follow people but It seems like they are not writing any post after I follow. Yes frustrating and annoying

There’s no way I could follow and unfollow everyone. I don’t have that kind of time! LOL They need to get their act together and fix this!!

I did and I had lots of followers then now I wouldn’t. Hopefully this gets resolved. I know a few that have had this kind of problem

I found the problem. Yahoo mail has been sending everything into spam. I had to add WP to my approved contacts. now we wait to see if it works
